Week five, wow…I cannot believe it. Take some time to get a refresher and check out my design plan in week one , my progress in week two, three simple DIY projects in week three and some accessorizing in week four.
Seriously, there are some great projects going on up in here so make sure you go and check some of them out and soak up the inspiration by heading over to our host, Calling it Home…..
Perhaps you have noticed I have shown quite a bit of my “reveal” pics already….well I will let you in on a little secret, I am leaving this weekend for an entire eight days in paradise for a much needed vacation with my hubs and 4 kiddos….so I have been working a week ahead to try and make sure I have a final result for all of you lovely readers.
So while I have completed most of my major projects I set out to accomplish….this week is all about the details, the small things that bring a space together. From strategically placed picture frames, to the perfect pair of gold scissors. So grab a cup of coffee and enjoy photos….
When I brought this phone home my kids were totally confused, when it rang for the first time I think it scared them a little, and when they called their dad on it and had to dial, get this….10 whole numbers…I think I lost them. Well I love it none the less. And hello, gold scissors from Target?
If you follow me on Facebook and/or Instagram you have no doubt seen my frequent coffee references…I love the stuff, I look forward to going to bed at night so that I can wake up and drink it. I also like it super hot, like reheat in the microwave every few minutes hot. So logically I needed a cute conversation piece to protect my desk from burning a hole clean through it from my hotter than hot cup.
Lovely succulents. A creation from my very talented friend Paula, owner and designer at Paisley Petals
A cute and functional way to store fabric…..nicely stacked on a shelf.
What else can I say? Cute chalkboard tags and an ampersand….perfection.
Twine and ribbon, ribbon and twine….can’t have too much of the stuff.
A talented friend is worth their weight in gold…and I am lucky to have several. One of my nearest and dearest is This Old Fence who made me this awesome arrow.
Organization rocks. Stamps rock too. Put them together and you have one happy girl.
And because I love them so much, here’s a close up for good measure.
Display pretty wrapping paper…hide the ugly stuff in the closet.
How rad is this pillow? My uber talented mom made me this for my uh-hem…29th birthday that I just celebrated last weekend.
And the pièce de résistance….these over the top lovely mercury glass shades that I ordered over 2 months ago, patiently waited as I was told that they were backordered…TWICE and then forgot that I paid for them with a credit card that was replaced by the bank for possible fraudulent activity so when they were finally ready to ship I got a notice that my card had been declined and shipment was delayed until they could verify my correct payment information….mercy me when the box finally arrived on Tuesday I prayed that these were really going to be as awesome as my vision had them being. They are. And I think I need to paint my ceiling.
Next week is reveal week!! And while I will be revealing from the beach with a mai thai in hand, I promise some final pics with a source list of all my goodies. Thanks for following along!
